It's a Tie

It's a tie for the best comment received on one of this week's posts.

From dear friend Natalie, responding to A New Family Picture: I officially can't tell Pete and Joe apart.

From Aunt Emmy, responding to Through The Eyes Of Max: These photos are either terrible, or they are going to be the next big exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Thanks for the literal LOLs, ladies!

And now to clear out my iPhone of all the pictures you haven't seen yet ...

Thanks to New Eli's mom for sending this cute picture
from after drop-off at school one morning.
Vince's buddy Matan turned 4 last week and had the most epic water birthday party ever! (that Max got to enjoy too!)

In addition to all those water features, there were cookies to decorate ...

Of course Max munched some of his first!
... and art projects to work on.

It was a hot, sunny day - perfect for a water party!  And for borrowing Mommy's sunglasses, of course.

Yes, I know they're upside down.  He's 2 and wouldn't
let me fix them for him.
I mentioned that we had Sunday dinner at Anne and Brian's house, but these next few pics didn't get posted yet.

Sporting their new Cubs shirts from Grandpa Joe and
Grandma Liz.  And holding hands!

This is such a typical Vince pose.  So
glad I captured it!

Then Max got my camera.
On Tuesday morning after we dropped Vince off at school, we picked up Mom for one last visit with Grandpa Joe and Grandma Liz before they left for home.  And of course that also meant another visit with beautiful Beatrice!

As soon as we pulled up in front of Anne and Brian's house, Max started cooing, "Baby!  Baby!"  He was obviously excited to see Beatrice.

And for whatever reason, nothing is more fun for a toddler than baby toys!

Tuesday night was the annual Family Movie Night at Camp Menorah (remember my $36 hamburger from two years ago?)  We staked out front row seats with a bunch of friends and had a great evening together.

Sarah loves Max.  Despite his face, the feeling
is mutual.

S'mores after the movie are always a treat!  He must have
remembered the fun of it from last year.
Oh, how we love summer.
